But reconnecting it kills the gain. Thinking the pot may be faulty I disconnected the feed to it from R13 and then dropped the injector to the pot, affectively just using it as a volume control for my signal injector. Same problem, volume massively low. Finally thinking transistor trouble I swapped VT3 for a known good one just in case.

No better I'm baffled. What is happening for the volume control to ;appear' to be damping down the gain so much on one channel? I'd tear my hair out if I had any left lol.

Should I be looking at other parts of the amp circuit? The only 'strange' bits that I struggle to understand are the balance control circuit and a quite complex crossover but these couldn't cause this problem could they???
