Olympic games for parties

The one with the most cheese puffs will win! This was the easiest game to put together. Not to mention, the most perfect game for a hot Summer day! There is nothing like a good, old-fashioned relay race with a twist. I divided the kids into two teams. Each team got a large bucket with holes drilled in it. I placed large buckets without holes on the other side of the lawn. The goal of the race is to fill the bucket with holes up with water and race down to dump it in your team bucket.
The team that fills their team bucket the quickest, wins! The fun twist was that because the bucket has holes in it, the water will spill out! The kids lost a decent amount of water on their run, and also got cooled off! They thought it was so funny to try to race before all the water ran out! If the kids were too small to carry the large bucket, the older kids stepped in and helped them!
Before this summer Olympic game begins, toss the pennies into a pool and keep the jars at some distance. Before the race of this winter Olympic party game starts, mark two zones inside your room as start and end points. Now, keep the objects in between such that the runners need to jump over the chairs and boxes as well as crawl beneath the table to reach their destination.
Along with organizing games and activities, you may check out innovative decorating ideas like making Olympic torches from paper-towel tubes, as well as employing shades of the Olympic rings as your color scheme to add that extra edge to your party. Inculcate some tempting savories such as snack-filled torches, round shaped goodies etc. Then the capless teammate, standing behind a tape or rope line a few feet away, tries to throw cheese puffs into the shaving cream.
The team gets a point for every puff still on the cap when the minute is up. Slide an empty rectangular tissue box onto a belt by cutting slits into the box's short sides. For the best game, remove one panel of the plastic film that covers the opening and insert seven Ping-Pong balls. Wearing the belt with the box at the back, each player has 30 seconds to try to make the balls bounce out of the box by shaking her body.
The player gets a point for each ball that exits the box. Every athlete deserves a moment of glory. To make it happen, set up a simple awards podium we used sturdy milk crates and hand out homemade gold, silver, and bronze medals. We made ours by painting the underside of a paper dessert plate with metallic paint, then gluing glitter around the rim and in a laurel pattern on the center.
We added a smiley face with black glitter glue and stapled on a loop of ribbon. When awarding the medals, pass around kazoos and have everyone join in a rousing rendition of the national anthem. Sweeten the victory with these easy treats.
