Cannot install wads

The wiki would be your best bet to setting this up as there's been a lot of additions to the guides with the recent changes. I don't understand what the issue is. If no error popped up, that means the WAD was successfully installed. Also, you cannot install a WAD while a Wii title is running. It used to work in previous versions because of an oversight.

Website Find. Even though there isn't an error message the wad isn't installed when I launch the system menu, as well as my dlc wads arn't working either. And what I meant by in game, I mean when im playing a game I cant go to the system menu after pressing the home button.

I was told the system had to be updated. I finaly got around to renting Twilight Princess. Not knowing there was any isue with the latest update I did the install. A couple of steps backwards and homebrew v9 installed. I dont know if this matters but I used the Twilite Princess v0 disc. So I really dont know if it will work with the v2 disc but it should. Also I bought my Wii in June this year. From all the information I have gathered the OCT23 update has tempoarily made it where you can no longer install WADs sucks for me Any wad already installed before updated will not be effected.

Also if you updated after having homebrew installed before v9 it will still work. Also will not load ELF files anymore. DOL files will still run as they should and they do in the homebrew channel. So now I sit and wait for the wad problem to be fixed.

Searching daily for a solution. I did run across a way to downgrade the OCT23 update but have not had the time to mess with it. I have all the files needed for it. It will work. To check version of the game disck look inside the circle of the data side. There will be a number there. At the end of that number you will have either -v0 or -v2. If you have v2 and it works for you let me know so I can add that to my research.

I already know v0 will work. The twilight hack will have two save game files for either version. Make sure you run the save file for the coorect ver of the disc or you WII will lock up untill you disconect power and reconect it. Ive tried 3 different wad installers and all fail. That is because of the WII update. Unsure if you have the newest update??

Go to the WIIshop channel. If it loads fine and you have not installed any hacks then you are on the new update. So does the new oct 23 update still allow the TL hack? Did it only ban. Im confused to what it actually does. I have nothing no homebrew channel, no nothing installed on my wii. I just have the oct 23 update. Am I screwed? Just feel I am so close but keep hitting a road block at every step. Do you think I should uninstall all apps and start again with just the WiiGator etc? This is what I have been waiting for. I hope so. What I mean is IF they are all burned the same way - should be fine right? Even the newer games? Thanks again. Gamma has the best compatibility of any boot loader out so far. I'm surprised the Verbs don't work for you. All you should have to do is use ImgBurn and burn at half the rated speed of the media. Thats just a base that most recommend. All you can really do is find media and burn speed that works for your Wii and stick with it.

I am fairly new to this although I hav learned tons about this in the last few months thrrough trial and error. What do I have to do to Update Patch or disc patch. I kind of know what you mean but not sure how to do it. You can disable the update on a game disc with WiiBrickBlocker.
