I saw one other stylist there one time who didn't do nearly as good a job though. The vibe there is very cool too. No joke!!! Here is a place where I felt comfortable at as a man that is easily made to feel like a slob in many salons I've been in. Nice atmosphere, pleasant and helpful staff, great haircut and freaking great price.

I've been going to see Jeni for more than a year and I'm so glad I found her! She's talented, kind, helpful, and engaging. My hair feels and looks good after she cuts, plus it always grows in nicely. Finally, the advice she's given regarding which styling products would be right for my hair has been right on the money! I just got home from the salon. The atmosphere is great. I love the giant mirrors. The staff is wonderful. My hairstylist is Monica. She is absolutely marvelous.

She can work miracles. She pays attention to detail and is concerned about what you want and what would flatter you. She is new at zip zap but she's not new to the cosmotology scene. She was a stylist in LA. Don't under estimate her talent. She's great. Bethany has been cutting my hair for years and I am always happy with my cuts. She is friendly and really listens.

I left feeling great and it was very reasonably priced. The place is small and hip but all the stylists seemed to be friendly and everyone was leaving with a good cut especially the men! Puck's been cutting, coloring and styling my hair for over 15 years.

He's the best. I always walk out of the salon feeling like a perfect 10! I've gone from straight to curly, short to long, highlights to a couple of shades down and he always knows my style. He knows my boundaries and that's priceless. His services are worth every penny! I just went to Puck for the 1st time and had a great experience. He gave me the exact cut that I wanted.

Plus, he showed me how to style my hair so I can recreate the look at home. In addition to all that good stuff, he was very friendly and easy to talk to. I highly recommend him. I have been going to Puck for over 13 years and have never had anything but complements on my cut and color. His cuts look fantastic and hold their style right up to my next appointment.

I always leave feeling like a new person. I learned more about how to deal with my hair in one service than I had in years of going to other stylists. He always makes me laugh. He's the best kept secret in San Francisco.

My stylist was uncomfortably silent, and when he did speak was subtly rude and even condescending. I ended up with a glorified trim priced as a cut and blow out that left me wondering if I had a hat in the car. I, like many, expect to leave a salon feeling good about myself and maybe with a few new styling tips. Instead I left disappointed and with the "professional" advice to pull my hair into a ponytail and forget about it!

In short, I spent a lot of time and money for nothing much in return. Jeni at zip zap is awesome! I've gotten more compliments on my hair since I've started going to her than I ever have in my life. She really listens to what I want out of my cut and then makes it better than I ever expected.
