Xbox 360 extender setup configuration error windows 7

One thing I do notice is everytime I restart the setup on xbox and get a different 8 digit key, when I go to the setup on the PC it still shows the last digits of the key I originally tried when the setup failed.

It will not let me uninstall the extender it just has an option to configure. This is driving me completely bonkers is there no fix for this? My god it's been a year!

Yeah It has been a year since I tried it last. I was avoiding reinstalling. I Just installed a new copy of Windows 7 and got it up and running instantly.
