Download the trial version of Ewido Anti-Malware here. Install ewido. During the installation, under "Additional Options" uncheck "Install background guard" and "Install scan via context menu".

Launch ewido It will prompt you to update click the OK button and it will go to the main screen On the left side of the main screen click update Click on Start and let it update. DO NOT run a scan yet. You will do that later in safe mode.

If you are having problems with the updater, you can use this link to manually update ewido: ewido manual updates Click here for info on how to boot to safe mode. Restart your computer into safe mode now. During the scan it will prompt you to clean files, click OK When the scan is finished, look at the bottom of the screen and click the Save report button.

Save the report to your desktop Restart back into Windows normally now. Run ActiveScan online virus scan here When the scan is finished, save the results from the scan! Come back here and post a new HijackThis log, as well as the logs from the Ewido and Panda scans. OK, I ran the Ewido program in Safe mode. It detected alot of adware, spyware, and viruses, but the ones it caught were already in quarantine from Pestpatrol, NAV, Adaware and so forth.

I saved the report, but it is entirely too long for this thread. I can email it to you if you really want to see it. I also ran ActiveScan which didn't really pick up anything out of the ordinary or malicious files. I posted the report below. Nothing has helped out my issue though with Windows Firewall. If I just knew of a link that re-install the firewall, Im sure that would work. Do you see Windows Firewall in the list of services?

You probably won't and if not, then we can fix it. You have multiple infections on this computer. Download Brute Force Uninstaller to your desktop.

Right click the file on your Desktop, and choose Extract All. Click Next. In the box to choose where to extract the files to: Click Browse. Download sidekickFix. Close all browsers and explorer folders. Double-click on sidekickFix. I recommend you uninstall Ares Ultra via the Control Panel as that is probably how you picked up these infections. Do not do anything with this yet! Rescan with HijackThis, close all browser windows except HijackThis, put a check mark beside these entries and click fix checked.

Put a tick by Standard File Kill. It will ask for confirmation to delete the file. Click Yes. Continue with that procedure until you have pasted all of these in the "Paste Full Path of File to Delete" box. Killbox may tell you that one or more files do not exist. We encountered an internal error. The error was reported to our system'. If you are not able to perform the basic steps also getting more errors when trying to do the same, so the best suggestion would be a clean install.

I get this piece of info from Microsoft Fix it Center after I run Windows Firewall troubleshooter, why can't I run my firewall service?

Unblocking Remote Assistance so that it will be allowed by Windows Firewall will fix this problem. On a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Vista, you find that the Windows Firewall service is not running. For more information, review the System Event Log.

If this is a non-Microsoft service, contact the service vendor, and refer to service-specific error code 5. Set permissions for the related registry keys Not Run.
